Remember in November
October 6, 2018
Dear Readers,I am very excited about an upcoming collection of stories, including one by yours truly that has never before been published in any form. A bunch of women writers have banded together to encourage our readers to REGISTER to VOTE.
For better or worse, elections are decided by People Who Show Up and Vote. It’s easy to feel powerless, to feel that one little vote won’t make a difference. But we're THOUSANDS.
While this is timed around the U.S. midterms, there are also Canadian writers on board, and we want you registered no matter where you vote. Got municipal elections coming up in Ontario? How do you feel the Brexit negotiations are going? Or the new government in Oz? Get yourself on that list!
We're putting together a short story e-book collection about elections, communities, and democracy in action — and we’re going to share it with you for FREE! All we want in return is to know that you take this voting privilege and responsibility seriously. How can you do that? We'll give you all the details soon, but the first steps are easy:
***Check with your local elections board and make sure you are REGISTERED TO VOTE at the correct address. Locate your polling place or request your mail ballot. If your state requires Voter ID, make sure you have one that's valid on November 6th.***
Stay tuned for more details. And get ready to read some great stories from these women:
